Advanced Care Pediatrics, a provider of pediatric home care services and private-duty nursing within the Atlanta-metro area, has recently expanded their service area, totaling 17 Metro Atlanta and North Georgia counties to better serve the state’s medically fragile children. ACP currently operates as a participating provider in the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP). GAPP is a program for medically fragile children, in which services are provided in childrens’ own homes and communities as an alternative to placing patients with needs for long-term care into an inpatient medical care facility. ACP is currently and continually hiring and training qualified RNs and LPNs to provide pediatric home care services for Georgia’s medically fragile children in the comfort of their own home.
“We are truly excited to grow our service area as it allows us to provide much-needed private-duty nursing services to more of Georgia’s medically fragile children. By adding seven additional counties to our original 10, our nurses are available to over 50% of Georgia’s population,” said Chris Goodwin, CEO of Advanced Care Pediatrics. With the addition of the new counties, ACP currently provides pediatric home care services to Fulton, Dekalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, Forsyth, Hall, Walton, Rockdale, Henry, Clayton, Fayette, Coweta, Carroll, Douglas, Paulding, Bartow, and Cherokee counties.
