Medical Alert Systems Provider Markets New Device

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

Greer, SC (PRWEB) February 09, 2012

MedFirst Alert, a leading marketer of personal emergency response systems (PERS), has announced the launch of a unique product which allows full two-way communication with emergency personnel, and in a wider coverage area.

“Our new Medical Alert System is the first monitored medical alert device that allows you to speak and listen directly through the pendant itself,” says John Nunnally, chief executive officer of MedFirst Alert. “This allows on the spot voice communication with emergency personnel?unlike traditional medical alert devices.”

“And with over 600 feet of effective communication range, the Medical Alert System provides significantly enhanced security in the home and surrounding areas,” adds Nunnally.

Its website notes that the device’s two-way communication ability means there is no need to be physically near a base console to talk with an operator. Also noted is that the device is water resistant and may be worn in the bath or shower, that service is provided in both English and Spanish, and that all MedFirst Alert call center staff are Emergency Response certified.

As reported in a study conducted by the National Council on Disability, 80 percent of the elderly persons who used assistive technology were able to reduce their dependence on others. In addition, half of those surveyed reduced their dependence on paid helpers, and half were able to avoid entering nursing homes.

“This state of the art product brings a new level of comfort and peace of mind to anyone living alone or concerned about having an accident or emergency at home,” says Nunnally.

Automated Security Alert Partners with Bosch Healthcare

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) February 08, 2012

Automated Security Alert is excited about their new partnership with Bosch Healthcare and will now be providing the Palo Alto-based company?s Telehealth devices nationwide. The partnership is one that is rooted in mutual respect. After a year-long search for the right Telehealth partner, Automated Security Alert selected Bosch for numerous reasons, not only for their traction and manufacturing capabilities, but because their advanced technology is surprisingly easy to use. Bosch chose to partner with Automated Security due to their reputation as well as their monitoring, installation and service infrastructure.

Jason Seyler, Automated Security Alert?s Director of Life Safety commented, ?Automated Security Alert started looking for a Telehealth partner over a year ago. After meeting with eight different Telehealth manufacturers we chose Bosch mainly due to their easy to use technology, history, and flexibility. We are able to provide Telehealth services to everyone in need without long term commitments. We have made Telehealth affordable for all patients and healthcare facilities. No one is providing Telehealth services like this.?

Telehealth is a multi-faceted program, but the basic core is to monitor a patient?s vital signs digitally, and if there is a problem a nurse can contact the patient instantly and assess the situation to see what action needs to be taken. No matter the severity of a situation, this early intervention and medical monitoring can be invaluable in patient care.

Automated Security Alert, Inc., has provided freedom and security since 1988 to over 60,000 consumers through the use of technology and services that enable seniors, physically-challenged persons and recovering patients to maintain an independent lifestyle in their homes. ASA?s creative, dependable solutions include medical alert systems(personal emergency response systems); fall detection systems; and medication management systems, including electronic pill dispensers and monitored medication dispensers.

Automated Security Alert Launches New Social Media Campaign & Shows that Learning about Health Care Options Can Be Fun

Saturday, January 21st, 2012

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) January 16, 2012

Never a company to get stuck in a rut or fall behind the times, Pittsburgh-based Automated Security Alert has a finger on the pulse of public preference: social networking. Although most people view popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter as a fun way to keep up with friends, Automated Security Alert sees the potential of social networking as way to educate the public about the options and benefits of medical alarms and monitored medication dispensers.

Jason Seyler, the company?s Director of Life Safety, commented, ?Social media is a great place to find news, information, and reviews on healthcare professionals and similar providers of healthcare related services. With over 175 million Twitter accounts and 800 million active Facebook users it?s imperative to educate people with these platforms . . . Many are unaware of our technologies.? Automated Security Alert is using Facebook, Twitter, and blogging to reach thousands of people to make them aware of how simple precautions such as medical alarms and monitored medication dispensers can save lives, provide immediate intervention during a health crisis, and prevent serious medication errors. By using social networking to expand their reach, the company wants to further its mission to keep people out of nursing homes and in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible.

Automated Security Alert can be found online at the following places: on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+, and on ASA’s Blog.
