Rattan is a black and white romantic movie. Two childhood lover Gauri (Swaran Lata) and Govind (Karan Dewan) love each other a lot but after when they grown up their parents were not allowing them to meet. They tried many things but failed to convince their parents. Gauri’s mother forced her to marry another man who was very elder to her. After her marriage Govind turns insane and start residing in the forest. Gauri’s husband was a very kind man and he decides to modulate things between Govind and Gauri. One day Gauri went to meet Govind in jungle and they had a long conversation but due to health problems Govind died. Gauri couldn’t bear this and while returning home, on the way she also dies.
